Madame Butterfly

Instead of painting with every oil colour available in Dubai, I had an urge to paint with just blues, and maybe a little bit of purple. I finished my 'Madame Butterfly' painting last night. 100cm x 80cm.

It has come to the end of the month-long exhibition at Time Oak Hotel, in Dubai... and what a success it was! Pussy Galore and Indulgence are now in a private collection in Kuwait, and Honey Rider is now in Montenegro. Getting ready for the exhibition at Time Oak Hotel in Dubai

Putting the last finishing touches on my Bond Girl collection in time for the exhibition at Time Oak Hotel in Dubai from 16th March to 16th April.

The funniest thing is that it didn't even occur to me that the name of this painting was inappropriate in the Middle East because she is such an iconic bond girl, but it seems Time Oak Hotel in Dubai do not want to offend anyone so they have adapted the name tag slightly...  hysterical...:

All Star Ballerinas

Added a few smaller paintings to my ballerina series.  These are all acrylic, ink and graphite on canvas, measuring 45cm x 60 cm.

Bond Girls

This is the first in my Bond Girl series.  Ursula Andress who played Honey Rider in the first James Bond movie, Dr. No.

This painting is oil on canvas, size 120cm x 100cm.

I've continued the union jack round the edges of the canvas

Geisha

I was inspired by my recent trip to the far east to paint this one.  'Geisha' is an impasto oil painting measuring 152.4cm x 91.4cm.

Finished 'Daydreamer' and now working on 'Geisha'.  This is the largest painting I've worked on so far and I am going through A LOT of paint..!  'Geisha' is 91.4cm x 152.4cm.

Do you ever get the feeling you're being watched... hahaha!

Daydreamer

Daydreamer is another impasto painting.  Made up of many layers of oil which have been applied to the canvas using only a palette knife, this has given the painting lots of depth and texture.  The painting is on a deep edge, linen canvas 120 cm x 100 cm.

Life is getting colourful

Finished The Muse and now working on a second.  A couple more layers to go and I think that should just about do it.

The Muse

Starting the new year off with some bright colours and a new style of painting.  I have created 'The Muse' using thick oil colours and only a palette knife giving this painting masses of texture.  The canvas is a deep edge canvas measuring 120 cm x 100 cm.
